He is the proud father of Trenton Pleasant, who is 8 years old.
Chief Loan Officer
Dan Farris is a retired United Army Officer with varied assignments in Airborne and Ranger units in command and staff positions. He served as commercial loan officer at a commercial bank in Murray, KY, now Region’s Financial, as well as serving as mediator and councilor with Housing Partnership, Inc. during the 2008-2011 financial crisis. He owned and operated an auction and real estate company in West Kentucky. He has served on various community development boards and as Mayor of Hazel, KY for nine years, prior to moving to Louisville in 2003. Joyce Monty was born in Massachusetts and later moved to Minnesota where she lived until she was a teen. The family moved to Louisville, her mother’s hometown, just in time for her to attend Iroquois High School. She’s lived in west Louisville and east, in Crestwood, making her home in Highview now. After years as a data entry clerk, a baker at Kroger, a cook, a caterer, and a nanny, she found herself drifting and unemployed. Thanks to the Urban Seniors Jobs Corps Program at the Louisville Urban League, she is now putting into practice what she learned as a mature adult in college. With a smile, Joyce says “I am enjoying my training position at LHOME very much and hope to continue to be productive and happy well into the future.”
Chief Operating Officer
Leila Faucette loves people, is passionate about housing, and understands finance which makes her a perfect fit at LHOME. From 2001-2018, she handled operations at a nonprofit professional association of nurses. She made her living as a real estate agent in Baltimore and Louisville, worked in wholesale distribution, and restaurants back in the day. Leila has 25 years’ experience practicing Taoist Tai Chi to which she credits her relative calm in chaos.
